National Audiovisual Archive (NAVA)
The National Audiovisual Archive is the archive of the Hungarian national broadcasting copyright copies, which collects the programs produced by the national terrestrial broadcasting televisions and radios. Its speciality is that it provides online access to its collection within the lawful frames: the NAVA catalogue is freely accessible for anyone, viewing of the media content is only allowed in the closed network of the NAVA-points. Similarly to the National Széchényi Library, the archive is a national public collection, which is accessible at members of the library and public collection network providing public services. János Mogyoróssy Town Library is a registered NAVA-point; in other words, we provide the opportunity for our registered readers to search in the collection of the audiovisual archive, to view parts of the collection. (It is forbidden to copy parts of the NAVA collection onto any data carrier, so they can be viewed only locally, at the NAVA-points!) Within the scope of this service, the programs of Duna Television, Hungarian 1, Hungarian 2, RTL Klub and TV2 can be searched and viewed at present. In the catalogue, made up from the description of each program, it is possible to search by date, title, collaborator data. It is also possible to choose by genre and thematic aspects. The NAVA archive is accessible upstairs within the eHungary Point service of our library. Please, ask for the librarians’ help if you would like to use it. |
